What does it look like behind the walls of the first mainstream Zero Energy Home in Greenville SC?

That’s a question Greenville HBA’s Sales & Marketing Council asked – and Addison Homes has the answer! So we are hosting an educational event to showcase the ultra-efficient products and processes you won’t see once the drywall goes up.

The ABCs of Green Construction: Behind the Walls of a Zero Energy Home” takes place Tuesday, Nov. 11, from 10-11:30am at our model home in Trailside (click here for directions), an ActiveHouse community adjacent to the Greenville Health System Swamp Rabbit Trail.

During this time, SMC members can enjoy light refreshments and talk with the vendors whose products are part of the efficiency equation that adds up to zero annual utility bills. Todd Usher, president of Addison Homes, will lead a tour of the home while providing an overview of what, exactly, makes it “green.”

This pre-drywall tour is designed to familiarize SMC members with the products and processes that go into an ultra-efficient home so that they, in turn, can explain the value to their clients.

Following the SMC event, the public is invited to take the pre-drywall tour at 11:30am. If you are interested in the building science behind a Zero Energy Home, please email to let us know you plan to attend.
