Bring light to your life — naturally — with skylights.

A breath of fresh air. Literally.

That’s how we feel about the Solar Powered “Fresh Air” Skylights we just installed in our Trailside model home. An intriguing new product from VELUX, these skylights bring in more than natural light – they draw in plenty of fresh air, too. They open and close via solar-powered remote control; a rain sensor automatically shuts them at the first sign of inclement weather.

Fresh Air skylights are ideal for releasing moist, warm air from the bathroom, for example, or eliminating cooking odors from the kitchen. They draw in cool, refreshing air during the Spring and Fall while transforming most any room of the house all year long with a wash of natural daylighting as well as a view of the stars at night.

These “Fresh Air” skylights use solar power to open and close via a radio frequency remote control.

We’re also lighting up life in our Trailside model with sun tunnels, which make a big impact in smaller spaces that benefit from a little natural light.

Skylights and sun tunnels are designed for energy efficiency, saving homeowners money on utility bills by reducing the need for electric lighting during the day. And no leaks – no worries – because VELUX products are installed with a “no leak promise.”

VELUX skylights come standard with energy-efficient, LoE3, Argon-gas-injected, dual-pane glazing that helps keep your home warm in the winter and cool in the summer.
