Greenville SC home builder Todd Usher has been invited to participate in a Builder Roundtable session during the RESNET Building Performance Conference.

The “Power of Performance” conference, slated for February 24-26 in Atlanta, is a national forum on home energy ratings, existing home retrofits, building codes and energy policy. It is the largest building performance trade show in the United States and offers more than 100 breakout sessions featuring the latest information on energy-efficiency, building science, marketing and more.

Todd is part of “What Are These Builders Thinking: Zero Energy Ready Home Builder Roundtable.” Moderated by Sam Rashkin of the U.S. Department of Energy, the session also includes Luis Imery, Imery & Co; Pete Fusaro, Preferred Builders; and Jacob Atalla, KB Homes. These leading-edge builders are discussing their experiences building homes to DOE Challenge Home standards and providing insight on how to succeed in the energy-smart niche.

Todd was selected to participate because of his work on Trailside, Greenville SC’s first community certified to DOE Challenge Home standards.

It’s such a privilege to sit on a panel with colleagues from across the country to share how – and why – we are innovating with Zero Energy Ready homes. This is a constantly evolving industry and we can all learn from each other.
